Ingredients
  

For the Chicken
  • 2 pieces chicken breasts, pounded to even thickness Organic chicken is preferred but use what works for you.
  • 1 cup buttermilk This will make your chicken juicy.
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix Hidden Valley or favorite brand.
  • to taste salt and pepper Go heavy on the pepper if you like a kick.
For the Sandwich
  • 4 pieces sandwich rolls Brioche for a fancy feel or whatever is on hand.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Cheddar or mozzarella work well.
  • Lettuce and tomato for garnishing Feel free to sneak a slice while prepping!

Method
 

Marinate the Chicken
  1. Pour the buttermilk into a bowl and add the ranch seasoning mix. Whisk until combined.
  2. Let the chicken marinate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours if you can).
Cook the Chicken
  1. Heat your cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat and add a bit of oil.
  2. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
Build Your Sandwich
  1. Remove the chicken and toast the sandwich rolls in the same skillet.
  2. Assemble the sandwich with shredded cheese, lettuce, and tomato.

Notes
