Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 package Oreo cookies (preferably Double Stuf) Regular Oreos can also be used.
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Must be at room temperature for best mixing.
  • 2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet) For coating the truffles.
Optional Ingredients
  • Sprinkles or cocoa powder For rolling and decoration.

Method

Preparation
  1. Toss the Oreo cookies into a food processor and pulse until they resemble fine crumbs.
  2. Dump the crumbs into a bowl and mix in the softened cream cheese until fully combined.
  3. Roll the mixture into small balls, about the size of a tablespoon.
  4. Place your truffle balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment and pop them in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Melt your chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl—heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
  6. Dip a chilled truffle into the melted chocolate, covering it entirely. Use a fork to lift it out and let the excess chocolate drip off before placing it back on the parchment.
  7. While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle on your chosen toppings or cocoa powder.
  8. Once all your truffles are coated and decorated, put them back in the fridge until the chocolate is set.
Serving
  1. Serve the truffles on a pretty platter or enjoy them straight from the container!
