Croissant Ingredients
  • 1 packet ready-made puff pastry (about 500g) A lifesaver for making croissants.
  • 1 jar Nutella or chocolate hazelnut spread Any chocolate hazelnut spread will work.
  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash) Gives croissants a golden brown finish.
  • as needed cup Flour for dusting Helps prevent sticking.
  • as needed pinch sea salt (optional) Adds a sweet-salty flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Roll out puff pastry into a rectangle (about 30x40 cm) on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Cut the rolled pastry into triangles, approximately 10 cm wide at the base.
  4. Spoon Nutella onto the wide end of each triangle and roll tightly towards the tip.
  5. Place croissants on a parchment-lined baking tray and brush the tops with beaten egg.
Baking
  1. Bake the croissants in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
