Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined Fresh or frozen, defrosted in cold water.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced More if desired.
  • 2 tablespoons butter Lurpak recommended for flavor.
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream Substitutions include whole milk with flour or plain yogurt.
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped For garnish.
  • to taste none salt and pepper Adjust salt if using salted butter.
  • a pinch none red pepper flakes Optional, based on preference.

Method
 

Sautéing the Shrimp
  1. Heat a large pan over medium heat and add the butter, letting it melt.
  2. Sauté the shrimp, cooking in batches if necessary, for about 2-3 minutes per side until pink and golden.
Garlic Time
  1. Add the minced garlic to the pan once the shrimp are nearly done, cooking until fragrant but not burnt.
The Creamy Goodness
  1. Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine. If needed, add a splash of pasta water or broth to adjust sauce thickness.
Add Seasoning and Serve
  1. Season with salt and pepper, and toss in the fresh parsley before serving.
