Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 medium medium cauliflower, cut into bite-size florets Fresh is best!
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil Use high-quality olive oil.
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese Avoid powdered cheese.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Garlic is essential for flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder Adds a subtle sweetness.
  • to taste salt Season generously.
  • to taste pepper Season according to preference.
Optional Garnish
  • to taste fresh parsley For garnish if desired.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Cut your cauliflower into bite-size florets, aiming for about an inch in size for even cooking.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the cauliflower florets with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat each piece evenly.
  4. Add in the grated Parmesan cheese and mix until the cheese clings to all florets.
  5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the cauliflower in a single layer, avoiding overcrowding.
Cooking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, shaking the pan halfway through for even crispiness.
  2. Check for doneness; the bites should be golden brown with melted, crispy cheese.
Serving
  1. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with fresh parsley if desired. Serve hot directly from the baking sheet.

Notes

If you burn a batch, mix the salvageable pieces with pasta. If you run out of Parmesan, grated cheddar is a suitable substitute. Can be prepared in advance and saves well for school lunches.
