Ingredients

Casserole Ingredients
  • 2 cans crescent rolls Classic Pillsbury rolls recommended.
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded Use leftovers from roast chicken if available.
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup Campbell's is recommended for its creamy texture.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Cheddar is preferred, but mozzarella works too.
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables Frozen vegetables are a great time-saver.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Consider adding garlic powder for extra flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). This ensures the crescent rolls puff up beautifully.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the cooked chicken, cream of chicken soup, mixed vegetables, and half of your shredded cheese.
  3. Roll out the crescent rolls on a large baking dish, overlapping them slightly to form a nice base.
  4. Spoon the chicken mixture onto the crescent rolls evenly, ensuring a good filling-to-roll ratio.
  5. Fold the edges of the crescent rolls over the filling and sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
  6. Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, until golden and bubbly.
  7. Let cool for about 10 minutes before serving to avoid burned tongues.
